千葉周作、死す。/安政2（1855）年12月10日
安政2（1855）年、12月10日、幕末の剣客で北辰一刀流の開祖・千葉周作が亡くなりました。享年62歳。
千葉は陸奥栗原郡の出身で、幼くして北辰無刀流の剣客だった父より剣を学び、後に、小野派一刀流浅利又七郎に剣術を学び、独立して、江戸・神田・お玉が池に北辰一刀流の道場・玄武館を開きました。
門人には坂本龍馬、清河八郎、山南敬助ら錚々たる面々がいます。
