地頭の設置が許可される。/文治元（1185）年

1185年11月29日、北条時政が後白河天皇に要求していた地頭の設置が認められました。
これは、勢力を強めつつある源頼朝が、謀反人・源義経と平家の残党の逮捕を名目に、義父・時政に兵を与え、自分の名代として上京させ、認めさせたものです。
地頭職は平家時代と異なり、頼朝の直属となるため、定着すれば頼朝の全国支配の構造が確立します。
