時代祭/10月22日
明治28（1895）年、平安遷都1100年の記念行事の一環として、京都・平安神宮で時代祭が始められました。
平安時代から明治までの時代衣装を纏った人々約2000名が京都御所から平安神宮までの約4.5kmを華やかに練り歩きます。
開催日の10月22日は、桓武天皇が長岡京から平安京に遷都した日を選んでいます。
