米騒動、京都に波及/大正7（1918）年8月10日

　大正7（1918）年8月10日、一週間前に富山で起きた米騒動が、京都、名古屋にも波及しました。
京都では午後7時頃、銭湯での「米屋を襲撃すると米が安くなる」という噂がきっかけとなりました。
数百人の群集が下京区一帯の米屋を襲い、「白米一升三十銭で売ります」との張り紙を書かせ、騒動は拡大して行きました。
米騒動はこの後も全国に拡大していきました。
