新選組隊士・佐々木愛次郎、恋人のあぐりと朱雀千本で暗殺される。/文久3（1863）年8月2日
文久3（1863）年8月2日夜、新選組隊士の佐々木愛次郎が、恋人のあぐりと共に、朱雀千本の竹薮の中で隊士の佐伯又三郎らによって惨殺されました。
佐々木は新選組の「美男五人衆」の一人。八百屋の娘のあぐりとは美男美女のカップルでした。このあぐりに芹沢鴨が横恋慕し、今回の殺傷沙汰になったということです。
