家康、方広寺の鐘銘に言いがかりをつける/慶長19（1614）年
慶長19年7月26日、徳川家康が、大仏の開眼供養を六日後に控えた京都方広寺の鐘の銘文が徳川家にとって不吉だとして式の延期を豊臣家に申し出ました。
「国家安康」「君臣豊楽」の八文字が安の字で家康を分断し、豊臣は君として楽しむ意味があるなどと、言いがかりを付けました。
このことが大坂の陣のきっかけとなりました。
写真は問題となった方広寺の鐘です。
